Yane visited the aquarium in the lobby of the Silverton Casino Hotel, three miles south of the Strip. It holds 117,000 gallons with sharks, rays, and colorful fish, and from Thursday to Sunday there are mermaids swimming inside. Kids press up against the glass and the mermaids wave back at them.
